“Honey,
can you make
me some bread?”
What happens when a former construction worker and pharmacy technician quit their jobs and move from Washington to Georgia?
THEY BECOME SOURDOUGH BAKERS!
We’re Peter and Marina, the husband-and-wife team behind Seven Loaves Bakery here in beautiful Canton, Georgia. Our story began in the most unexpected way — with a simple request one night when Peter looked at me and said, “Can you make me some homemade bread like my mom?”
I had never baked bread in my life, but I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge. So I gave it a try. That first loaf came out of the oven golden, crackly, and full of love — and to my surprise, Peter absolutely loved it. Then our friends wanted some. Then family. Then neighbors started asking. What began as a little kitchen experiment slowly grew into something so much bigger — a calling, a passion, and now, our family business.
Today, we bake over 150–200 loaves of sourdough bread each week, pouring our hearts into every single loaf. We’re licensed cottage bakers proudly serving Canton, Woodstock, Marietta, Holly Springs, and the surrounding communities. From April through December, you can find us at the Downtown Woodstock Farmers Market and Wellstar Health Parks on Wednesdays, sharing the joy of fresh, wholesome bread made the old-fashioned way — with love, patience, and a touch of faith.
Because for us, this isn’t just bread.
It’s connection. It’s community. It’s home.
